    Be Kind

Our reception team is working under enormous strain and pressure and we ask that our patients please speak to them politely. The GP Partners of Eden Surgeries will not tolerate abuse to any of our staff. The appointment system we are using still currently has to meet the Guidance and Standard Operating Procedures, General Practice in the context of coronavirus (COVID-19).This guidance from NHS England still indicates a “total triage” model, with face to face appointments with a GP only offered once a clinician has assessed the patient remotely. Therefore – the Reception team cannot book a face-to-face appointment with a GP for a patient. We understand this is frustrating for our patients but we need to follow guidance from NHSE.

    Covid Vaccinations

We understand that everyone is anxious and would like their Covid Vaccination as soon as possible. But please refrain from calling the surgery regarding this. We are taking over an extra 300 calls per day regarding Covid Vaccinations and its putting immense pressure on the team and making it more difficult for other patients to get through to us. As soon as we have notification of vaccinations we will be in touch. We have staff and volunteers at the ready for clinics to be arranged. It is a difficult and stressful time for everyone and we thank you for your co-operation.

    Covid Vaccine Update

Dear Patients, as you may know we are now starting to invite 70-74yrs olds in for their vaccinations. We are restricted by supplies and by the type of vaccine that we are offered and whilst we have been lucky enough to get the Astra Zeneca vaccine recently which has allowed us to deliver clinics from our site in Hatfield Heath, the next four clinics are with the Pfizer vaccine, which as you know is less stable, and so has to be delivered from the Stansted Surgery. We appreciate that this isn’t necessarily as convenient as coming to the Hatfield Heath surgery, but there is nothing that we can do to change this. Please bear with us, and do your best to get to Stansted as we don’t currently know when we will be getting the next batch of Astra Zeneca in, or how many doses, whereas the Pfizer is confirmed for this Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at The Stansted Surgery. We would politely remind you not to call the reception team regarding this, unless absolutely necessary. Many thanks.
