A Diabetic MOT Poem Posted or Updated on 9 Nov 2023

I'm off to see nurse Barbara,
For a diabetic check,
But lately I've been naughty,
By eating sweets - but what the heck.

It's an annual diabetic MOT,
And nurse Barbara is so sweet,
Last time, I asked 'Will you be mother?',
When she asked to see my feet.

Since my cancer operation,
It's a job for me you see,
To bend and put my socks back on,
So would she help and mother me.

Nurse Helen get's in on the act,
With my blood pressure and weight,
Then it's off to see the Doctor 'Sara',
Who I like - I think she's great.

Last not least the dietician,
Who will give me advise on food,
And at the end of my MOT,
I'll leave here in a buoyant mood!
